After the Massage

Please feel free to enjoy the state of relaxation and lie still for just a few more moments. Then slowly and carefully get up. Please drink plenty of water before and after any spa treatments you receive. It’s important to keep hydrated. An additional glass or two of water immediately following a massage may benefit you by decreasing the possibility of soreness. Bottled water is available from our room service. Please let the front desk know prior to your stay if you would like to have water stocked in your room. Following any heat treatments, such as Hot Stone massage, it’s important that you rest and avoid any vigorous activity for at least one hour. As always, if you have any other questions you’re welcome to contact us at 419-562-3013 or email [email protected].

Tips When Receiving a Massage

  • Massage may not be a part of everyday life for you, and you may feel uneasy or shy about receiving your first massage. It’s important to recognize the goal of massage is to create a comfort level that will relax all of the senses. The utmost quiet will enhance the complete state of relaxation. After receiving your first massage, we’re quite confident that you’ll receive many more in the future.
  • Allow your therapist to move your limbs into position. Relax your arms, legs and head unless the therapist requests your assistance.
  • DO provide feedback in regards to the amount of pressure you prefer or need. (Deeper pressure vs. lighter pressure).
  • DO ASK questions about the procedures. Our therapists are well trained, ethical and professional. It’s our goal that you’re comfortable and well-informed.
  • Tell the therapist about areas of your body that are injured, sore or tense.
  • During the session, close your eyes and allow yourself to relax to the soothing music. Focus your attention on breathing slowly and deeply.
