Located about one hour from the HideAway Country Inn, the Mohican State Park is one of the best places for outdoor recreation in Ohio. The 1,110-acre park and adjacent 4,525-acre state forest offer fabulous bird watching, hiking trails, and hunting opportunities. In addition, you’ll find the Clear Fork River which flows through the park and is known as a great spot for canoeing, kayaking, smallmouth bass fishing, and tubing. In the summer months, cool off with a dip in the river or enjoy a picnic at the campground site. In the winter, under proper weather conditions, you can enjoy snowmobiling through the state forest!
If you’re visiting in late April, be sure to make plans to attend the annual Mohican Wildlife Weekend. This 3-day event includes over 30 programs and features everything from birding tours and hands-on animal exhibits to disc golf and barn dances. It’s a wonderful weekend to be in town!
Findley State Park
