Nut Crusted Amaretto Pork- 1938 Restaurant Menu 2015


  • 2 Frenched Pork Chops
  • 1/2 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 Cup Crushed Pecans
  • 1/2 Cup Amaretto liqueur
  • 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
  • Olive Oil for Pa


Mix your Panko Crumbs and Crushed pecans together (pecans can either be hand crushed or pulsed in a food processor). Generously coat both sides of the pork chop with the 50/50 mixture. Heat Olive Oil in heavy bottomed pan until hot but not smoking. Sear each side of the pork chops in the olive oil but do not leave on either side too long or you will scorch the nuts. After each side is seared place pork chops on sheet in a hot 350 degree oven and cook until done. Approx 15 minutes. While Pork is cooking, pour Amaretto in a clean sauce pan and reduce down by half. Once it is reduced, add heavy cream and again reduce mixture by half, stirring it as you go. Once the pork is done, pour sauce over top and enjoy!
