Bucyrus Little Theatre announces the final show in its 2012/2013 season, "Nunsense". Written by Dan Goggin this show has become an international phenomenon, with more than 5,000 productions worldwide and translated into 21 languages.
It begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters, leaving the convent in dire need of funds for the burials. The sisters decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show. They take over the school auditorium, currently set up for the eighth grade production of "Grease". Here we meet Reverend Mother Mary Regina, Sister Mary Hubert the Mistress of Novices, Sister Robert Anne who drives the convent car, Sister Mary Leo the newest sister, and Sister Mary Amnesia who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head. The show features star turns, tap and ballet dancing, an audience quiz, and comic surprises.
Scott Persinger is director of the show with James Besch as Musical Director and Matt Meade as Choreographer. Performances are May 10,11,18, and 19 at 7:30 PM and May 12and 19 at 2:30 pm. Adult tickets are $15.00 with student tickets $10.00. Reservations can be made by calling the Inn 419-562-3013
