HideAway Inn Awarded Wine Award of Excellence for Third Year, Plus Wine News!

For the third year in a row, HideAway Country Inn was adorned with the wine spectator AWARD OF EXCELLENCE for having a climate controlled wine cellar with over 150 wine varietals and an on-site certified sommelier (level two)!

Wine Spectator's Restaurant Wine List Awards, like the AWARD OF EXCELLENCE we received, recognize restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine, and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.

What does this mean for you as a guest or customer? You’ll be able to choose from award winning wines from all over the nation right in the country during your stay or visit to our Restaurant 1938 or Pub 1938 which features our wine bar and décor made from recycled wine barrels!

Ohio Award Winning Wine

The HideAway Country Inn has in stock several Ohio wines and counting, such as the Cabernet Franc and Viognier-Rousanne, from Kinkead Ridge Winery. This winery has received international recognition. The book, 1000 Great Everyday Wines from the World’s Best Wineries (DK Publishing, 337 pp.; $25), stated that “among the more than 100 wineries in Ohio, Kinkead Ridge is one of the state’s most compelling. Unlike the offerings of so many of its peers, Kinkead wines are never thin or insignificant, but have rich, varietal character and great balance.” You can read more about the recent news and our stock of Kinkead Ridge HERE.
