Surviving Food Allergies? Come to Our Extensive Boot Camp on Gluten Free Cooking

The weekend of July 2 and 3, 2014, HideAway Country Inn will offer its first ever Cooking School Boot Camp with the theme of Gluten Free Cooking.  These classes are designed for the home cook, from kid-friendly to gourmet. We bring farm, fresh goodness to the kitchen and show you how to devise it into scrumptious meals that are sensitive to your diet needs or to those for whom you cook who are food allergic.

With this cooking school being gluten-free, we will be catering to people who have Celiac Disease and to those who are wheat intolerant, as well as promote awareness of other food allergies. Our kitchen has been carefully cleaned to ensure zero cross contamination.

Various characteristics of the foods to be used will be discussed and local farmers will be providing tours so you can see the fine, fresh ingredients and how they are grown or raised, prior to the hands-on kitchen education. Of course, with this particular boot camp focusing on cooking for those with allergies, any concerns you have will be discussed prior to the tours.

You’ll learn how to prepare, season, and cook certain foods from our experienced kitchen staff and our brand new Chef! When the food is complete, you’ll dine on your creations in our lovely historic manor, with fine wine and great conversation.

As a cooking school participant for the gluten-free boot camp, you’ll have the option of joining us for two days, Friday and Saturday, or just one day, Saturday, with discounted rates and breakfast provided. The boot camp will take place at the beautiful HideAway Country Inn, located in Bucyrus, Ohio, on our six acres of gorgeous farmland with sweeping scenic views.

All participants will receive reference books on all the ingredients, recipes of items made, a quality apron, and a variety kitchen supplies to take home. Not to mention, you’ll view food in a whole new way and with a larger appreciation. Your taste buds will thank you!

To make reservations, call (800) 570-8233 and let our reservation specialists help plan your stay and keep up to date on the cooking school schedule on our website. The spots fill fast, so don’t delay!
