Mid Ohio Has a Myriad of Summer Activity Choices: Bucyrus Historical Day Coming in July!

There is always something fun, entertaining, educational, or relaxing to do in the summer in mid Ohio! Plan your summer itinerary now to be sure to hit all the amazing festivals, historical and heritage days, tour stops, and recreational places.

Touring around Mansfield and Richland Country, Bucyrus, Marion, and Findlay alone can give you an amazing number of events and locations to fill one summer alone.  If you are interested in the history of Bucyrus or in small town historical education, the Bucyrus Historical Society Museum will be hosting Bucyrus Historical Day.

This year, they are celebrating from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014, on Rennselaer Street located beside the Bucyrus Historical Museum.

According to the Discover Ohio website, the street will be closed to traffic for the day and the crafters and vendors will set up along the street.  There will be broom making, wood carving, homemade ice cream, food vendors, farm market, and a Monkey Grinder.

However, vendors change from year to year and information is still being planned. Tours of the Museum, Scrogg House, and Carriage House will be conducted all day. The Scroggs House is now air-conditioned and the Carriage House will be open so everyone can enjoy the antique fire engine inside.

The Historical Museum was opened for the first time on August 1, 1969.  Many volunteer hours have been spent getting it to the quality it is today and displaying all the items that they have that helps people learn of the Bucyrus Heritage and History.

Admission and parking is FREE for the event.

The address to the event is:
