Ready to Enjoy an Extended Ohio Getaway? Include Events at Historic Marion Palace Theatre to Your Stay

Need a winter break? An extended getaway weekend to the central Ohio area of Marion, Bucyrus, Findlay, and Mansfield areas will offer you time to relax and rejuvenate with a stay in the historic HideAway Country Inn. Surrounded by beautiful woodland areas, you’ll enjoy a stay in a gorgeous suite or themed room with a warm, bubbling Jacuzzi, crackling fireplace, fine dining, access to spa, and plenty of specials to choose from while you enjoy some time away from the rest of the world.

However, if you are looking for something extra to do during your long weekend adventure, we suggest checking out the vintage Marion Palace Theatre. Just a short drive through our scenic countryside, it’ll be a date you won’t forget. Built in 1928 and renovated in the 1970s, it’s not only gorgeous but they feature a wealth of local and professional talent almost every day and evening.

For instance, one you might check out during the afternoon, before you come back to the Inn to an elegant sit-down dining experience and a bottle of wine, is the “TWO ON TAP” performance in March.

The Palace Theatre in Marion states:

“TWO ON TAP” marks the creative collaboration of celebrated musical theatre performers Melissa Giattino and Ron DeStefano. Gorgeous vocals, exciting tap choreography and unique musical arrangements all take center stage in their two hit shows, A Tribute to Song and Dance and Tap Rhapsody.

Reveling in the chemistry and artistry of vintage couples like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, TWO ON TAP’s original hit production shows why those famous dancing duos from vaudeville and the Silver Screen continue to impress. In this fast-paced and fun-filled show, classic songs by Gershwin, Mercer, Berlin and other Tin Pan Alley songwriters bring audiences back in time, taking a fresh look at the exciting lost art form of duo song-and-dance.

Sounds like a wonderful trip down memory lane or an enjoyable afternoon day visit! Tickets for “TWO ON TAP” are for Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. and are available for $15.

Or make reservations for one of the upcoming April performances of "BINGO":

The Marion Palace Theatre schedule and information can be viewed online at: www.marionpalace.org or call HideAway Inn at (800) 570-8233 and allow our staff to assist you in planning your extended weekend getaway and event itinerary. There is always plenty to do in the central Ohio that will add entertainment to your excursion.
